I Wish They All Could Be California Girls – FGF Highlights, Fresno, CA

I don’t know if it was the fresh air, the fresh produce, or the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit, but these California girls were full of refreshing life and energy! They were so enthusiastic about coming together with their sisters in Christ, and it was inspiring to be with them!

We were all super grateful for their vibrant spirits because it gave us—the other speakers and myself—the energy we needed to minister that weekend, especially with the coast-to-coast time difference combined with some of the worst travel delays and reroutes ever!

Spill the Beans LIVE with Tammy Trent and Liz Curtis Higgs at Fresh Grounded Faith Chattanooga, TN [Episode 180]

Spill Beans Tammy Trent Liz Curtis Higgs

Today on the 4:13 Podcast, I’m spilling the beans with some of my favorite people!

Liz Curtis Higgs, Tammy Trent, and Michael O’Brien joined me for a Fresh Grounded Faith event in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and we had a great conversation around the bistro table answering all kinds of questions from the audience.

God Met Us “Little People” – FGF Highlights, Oswego, IL

I have never heard anyone pray what Tonda, our prayer team leader, did during the volunteer meet and greet. As we prayed together just before the conference, she thanked God for loving us, His “little people.”

There was so much wisdom in her reference to us as “little people,” and I loved it!

It made me think of Psalm 8:4, which says:

I Love You to the MoonPie and Back – FGF Highlights, Chattanooga, TN

I loved everything about being in Chattanooga! But, I must say, I forgot how much I loved MoonPies until I visited the MoonPie’s hometown this past weekend! Those yummy treats have been baked in Chattanooga at the Chattanooga Bakery since 1917.

And wow, were they good! Those sweet Chattanooga sisters gave me a gift basket with some of those marshmallowy treats, and then after dinner on Friday night, they even served us MoonPies for dessert! It was so fun!

It’s fitting that MoonPies are from Chattanooga because I just love all those women to the moon—or shall I say ‘to the MoonPie’—and back!

There was such a welcoming spirit in the church building when we arrived. I could feel it! You know, there’s a difference between being kind and being welcoming. There’s a difference between cordiality and hospitality. And, these ladies in Kokomo were welcoming and hospitable—like family from the word hello!

Well, that may not all be totally true about how you feel when you’re with family because you may have a tricky, prickly family dynamic. But, it is totally 100% true when you’re with the family of God. And, that’s what it felt like this past weekend at Fresh Grounded Faith Springfield.
