Big State, Even Bigger Hearts – FGF Highlights, Allen, TX

Can I just say that I love Texas? Everything is bigger in that great state, including the hearts of the women we shared last weekend’s Fresh Grounded Faith conference with. Such a fun group of sweet ladies who love the Lord and showed that in everything they did.

I was extra thankful because I had a horrible bladder infection when the conference was starting Friday evening, and one thoughtful lady ran out to the store to get something to help me feel better, and it worked! That meant so much.

Strawberry Fields Forever – FGF Highlights, Plant City, FL

Did you know that Plant City, FL is the winter strawberry capital of the world? I didn’t, but I do now! This weekend at Fresh Grounded Faith, we had strawberry everything — soap, cookies, afghans, rain boots, toboggans, shirts, earrings, bracelets, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry shortcake…. I am sure you get my point! It was so fun!

And oh, sisters… it was such a great start to our spring season of Fresh Grounded Faith. God was so very present, all of the volunteers gave generously from their hearts, it was so well-organized, and you could practically feel how open to the Lord’s moving the entire audience was. So thankful.

Fresh Grounded Fun in Fredericksburg — FGF Highlights, Fredericksburg, VA

I’m just getting back home from Fresh Grounded Faith in Fredericksburg, and what a weekend it was! From the time we landed until we were headed home, it was so clear how the Lord was working, and I’ve been reflecting on that ever since.

On Friday night, Meredith Andrews was set to open our praise and worship time, but her accompanist’s flight was delayed. Poor Chris! But God had provided before we even knew we had the need — our local conference coordinator, Angela Donadio, is a very talented pianist and was able to fill in until Chris could get there. Wow, right??

Huntsville FGF Rockets to Success, Women LACKED Nothing – FGF Highlights, Huntsville, AL

Wow. Sometimes there are just not the right words to express the way the Holy Spirit moves. I’m so incredibly grateful. Last weekend was our fall 2016 season kickoff of Fresh Grounded Faith, in Huntsville, AL, and what a blessed weekend it was! Known for the US Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville was full of women who learned they LACK NOTHING.

It was so good to be back, and I loved that Laura Story and Karen Abercrombie were back with me.

Swallowed Up In Sweetness – FGF Highlights, New Orleans, LA

I’m still finding powdered sugar! Yep, it was in my hair, on my jeans, and on my eyelashes! Those New Orleans folks know how to pour on the sugar — and, I’m talking about those beignets, beignets, and more beignets! If you’ve never had one, oh girl, they are the most delicious fried dough with mounds of powdered sugar dumped on top of them.

Beautiful God, Beautiful Women – FGF Highlights, Evansville, IN

“Perfectionism kills skill.” Those were the wise words of Ann Voskamp during Spill the Beans at Fresh Grounded Faith, Evansville this past weekend. What truth that woman spoke! She shared earlier that morning about how we as women can use measuring sticks as weapons that hurt ourselves and hurt each other. But, of course, because she is such a wordsmith, she said it a lot better than I just did!
