I Wish We All Could Be California Girls – FGF Highlights, Yorba Linda, CA

Yes, I wish I could be one of those California girls we hung out with last weekend at Fresh Grounded Faith – Yorba Linda! What a great, fun, gracious, loving, warm, beautiful group of women who gathered at The Friends Church for a jam-packed weekend of wonderfulness!

So, I shared some fresh grounded truth from Scripture about how God’s love makes us lovely and reminded all of us that we don’t need to find ourselves or be somebody because we are already found in Christ and He makes us “His” somebody.

Karen Abercrombie, aka Miss Clara from the War Room movie, brought down the house with her dramatic monologue about Rahab. Oh girl, amazing is all I can say about that! Then, Angela Thomas made us laugh and cry as she invited us into her story. The girl is so gifted and she really ministered to all of us.

And…deep breath…as if that wasn’t enough, Michael O’Brien sang heaven right down into that sanctuary and into our hearts. I love that guy!!

Saturday was just as excellent and then we finished up the weekend with Kirk and Chelsea Cameron! Yep, we spilled the beans about their lives, marriage, Hollywood, and other interesting conversations about doing life authentically as believers. My cup was full!

God was with us all weekend and how beautiful that there were many women who made decisions for Christ — including 5 new sisters in Christ!  Whoo hoo!!  Also, these generous California girls sponsored 72 children through Compassion International — that’s 72 kids who are now rescued from poverty in Jesus’ Name!  Yes, yes, yes!

Okay, that’s a taste of FGF Yorba Linda. I must stop or I will gush and get obnoxious with how grateful and excited I am! Big thanks to Kay Gadd for leading so well and a big thanks to Friends Church for hosting us and all seven co-host churches who worked so hard to make this weekend eternally significant. God is so good and I’m so grateful that we are all His girls!
