The grace of our Lord was poured out on us in Indianapolis this past weekend. He came to Indy to seek and to save that which was lost, drawing women to Himself, releasing children from poverty, and sharing His great love with women who may have never felt it. And we at Fresh Grounded Faith got to watch Him work!
Over a thousand women were worshipping, laughing, and learning together, and I loved every minute of it.
Angie Smith’s story of meeting Christ in her twenties was so powerful—and speaking of powerful, Meredith Andrew’s lyrics and vocals brought heaven down!
I’m so thankful God’s grace was flowing in that place because on Saturday … the water stopped flowing! The fire department chose Saturday morning, the time 1,200 women were at Fresh Grounded Faith, to flush out their fire hydrants!
That meant the water was shut off in the church on Saturday with no notice. No toilets. No sinks. No water fountains.
When you have that many women with full bladders, let’s just say, it’s a good thing they were full of the Spirit! I appreciated the great leadership and flexible sweet attitudes of the women at the conference. It was such a reflection of God’s grace and goodness.
Many thanks to our amazing Local Conference Coordinators, Kathy Stahlhut and Marty Meek. Also, we are grateful to our host church, Greenwood Christian Church, and our nine co-host churches.
And, it sure didn’t stop God’s overflow off blessing. We celebrated 10 new sisters in Christ, 74 women who chose to renew their commitments to Christ, and 54 children rescued from poverty through Compassion International!
I’m so grateful for the women of FGF Indy, I’ll always remember it was the place where God’s grace flowed when the water didn’t!
Blessings,
Jennifer and the FGF Team!
