So, Delaware, When Can We Come Back? – FGF Highlights, Georgetown, DE

Our first Fresh Grounded Faith event of the Fall 2024 tour was a beautiful thing! This past weekend, we gathered in Georgetown, Delaware with women from all over the Northeast, and we even had a group of 47 ladies travel in from Virginia.

Hosted at Crossroad Community Church, the room was full of hundreds of women eager to fellowship with each other, hear from the Word of God, and grow in their faith. And Kaye Bennett, our dedicated and amazing Local Conference Coordinator, ensured everything was in place for the women to do just that.

This was our second visit to Georgetown, so we knew Kaye and her incredible team would make this weekend memorable. The first time was in 2020 and I taught about what it means to be unshakable. (Perfect time to talk about being unshakable, right?!) Well, this time we focused on grace … how to receive it, live it, and give it.

Despite battling laryngitis, Tammy Trent moved us with her resilience, sharing both her voice and a powerful message. And Shaun Groves led us in heartfelt worship, uniting everyone in song as we lifted our voices to our Heavenly Father.

Oh, and a big highlight for me was celebrating Terrie Bitter, our National Conference Director, on her milestone 100th conference!

We wanted her to know how much we appreciate her dedication to ministering to women around the country, so just for fun, we shot $100 bills with her face on them into the audience! Ha! But my favorite part of the celebration came from my Dr. Phil when he said he looked forward to celebrating her 100th birthday … and then he added, “which is in a short 10 years!” Well, obviously not, but it was funny, and it was fun celebrating Terrie.

The weekend was a beautiful reminder of community, faith, and the power of shared experiences. I’m so thankful for this incredible group of women we got to serve this weekend, as well as for our wonderful co-host churches and the many volunteers who are the heartbeat of this whole thing.

But, quite honestly, Tammy, Shaun, and I agreed … they ministered to us even more than we ministered to them through their generous responsiveness and encouragement. And that includes watching several women respond in faith to the Lord working in their hearts.

We celebrated 10 new sisters in Christ, 72 women who chose to renew their commitment to Him, and 25 children who were sponsored through Compassion International. Praise the Lord!

So, Delaware … when can we come back?! We’re ready and we love you!

Blessings,

Jennifer and the FGF Team!
