Good to the Last Drop – FGF Highlights, Fort Worth, TX

The fourth conference of our Spring 2023 tour, Fresh Grounded Faith Fort Worth, is a wrap! And oh, oh, oh … it was a blessing from start to finish. There’s just no comparison to those amazing Texas women!

Our Local Conference Coordinator, Missy Watts, and her right hand gal, Emily Gentry, led this event with such grace. Our whole FGF team is so honored to co-labor alongside these dedicated women whose work was nothing short of excellent.

In fact, the motto of our host church, Travis Avenue Baptist Church, was just that … “Excellence in Everything,” and it was obvious they were committed to giving God and others their very best.

And excellent it was, my friend! From the moment our ladies arrived to our closing prayer, our time together was so, so good!

Annie F. Downs taught us that grace is an invitation to be honest with God. Tammy Trent sang and danced and showed us how grace sustains us in every season of life. And Shaun Groves led us in worship and drew our hearts to give the grace we have received through giving to others who are in need.

It was a weekend of grace, grace, grace because, sister, we all need grace—for ourselves and for others.

Oh, and if you were there, you remember how much fun we had during Spill the Beans!

It’s a good thing laughter is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22) because that segment was Comedy Central for sure! But it was also so sweet, practical, wise, and deep. Tammy, Annie, and Shaun, led by the Holy Spirit, ministered to the group of ladies the Lord brought to FGF Fort Worth. And they ministered to my heart too.

Speaking of ministering to others, I’m so grateful for every ministering heart who showed up ready and eager for the Lord to use them. And because our God is faithful, He was at work through them and through His Spirit who moved in the hearts of women.

We celebrated a beautiful new sister in Christ, 27 women who chose to renew their commitment to Him, and 30 children who were sponsored through Compassion International.

Isn’t that incredible? Praise the Lord!

I’m thankful for every wonderful volunteer and for our co-host churches who partnered with us to serve up some fresh, grounded faith to the wonderful women of Fort Worth. It really was good to the last drop!
