When we woke up on Saturday morning in Fargo, the air was a crisp 16° and there was a snowy landscape that shimmered in the moonlight. Even though the sun was just barely shining, the moon was still on display—full, bright, and absolutely huge!
You would think we were in the middle of winter with the way it looked and felt outside, but I had to remind myself that it’s still fall—we’re still in the middle of the harvest.
Well, little did I know that God would show me exactly what kind of harvest it would be later on that day.
As we arrived at Fresh Grounded Faith Fargo, my heart warmed up quickly as I was reunited with my sisters in the north.
Hope Lutheran Church hosted this event several years ago, and it was so good to be back again working alongside the same Local Conference Coordinators, Judy Siegle Aamodt and Kathy Spriggs, as well as many of the same volunteers.
Those women are amazing, and I’m so thankful for them and for the co-host churches who came together to make it all possible.
And just like last time, Michael O’Brien joined us and did an incredible job leading worship.
We were also blessed to have Margaret Feinberg with us, and we all appreciated her authenticity as she encouraged us in the Word and inspired us in our walk.
I taught on God’s grace, grace, grace, and right after we learned that His grace is sufficient, we were also reminded that His grace is abundant.
Because as women came forward to pray, that altar became full!
We got to witness an abundance of women place their faith in Him as we celebrated 23 new sisters in Christ, 95 women who chose to renew their commitments to Christ, and 62 children rescued from poverty through Compassion International!
Wow! Incredible, isn’t it?!
God reminded me right then and there that it was still the harvest. He is still cultivating hearts, and we are to continue to be faithful laborers in His vineyard!
So, my sisters, let us not grow weary in our work, because the fields are ripe for the harvest (John 4:35).
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” – Matthew 9:37-38
Blessings,
Jennifer and the FGF Team!
