The rain brought chilly weather as I arrived to the Sunshine State, but when I entered Anastasia Baptist Church, it didn’t seem to matter. Inside, 200 volunteers from 15 different churches had passionately come together to put on one powerful Fresh Grounded Faith event. The rain couldn’t stop the SON from shining on us in St. Augustine, Florida.

I’ve Got Georgia on My Mind
It seemed like a typical February day as I prepared to leave for Fresh Grounded Faith in Marietta, Georgia. However, I soon discovered my hometown, Springfield, Missouri, was about to be hit by an ice storm, and I needed to leave immediately on the next flight down south. And boy, I am so glad that I did because 1) what girl wants to stuck in an ice storm, and 2) I would have missed a great big blessing that God had in store for all of us that attended.
Missing Pieces Filming, Honeymoon Tea, Hebrews Coffee, and Kathy Troccoli
March opened with the filming of my Missing Pieces Bible Study. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for what God did. And, I cannot put into words how grateful I am that it is…OVER! Ha! (Relief is my favorite emotion!) I am incredibly grateful for the hundreds of ladies who came each night and were so supportive as the audience. If you want to see some behind the scenes pictures, check in here.
The following weekend after filming, I gave a “Honeymoon Tea” for Caroline and Clayton. They are getting married on May 18 – less than 2 months away! I sent invitations that included a white tea sachet and asked the ladies attending to fill it with a little cash for the honeymoon. When the ladies arrived, they placed their “tea bag” in a tea pot which Caroline took home. We used my great aunt’s silver service and lots of tea cups from friends and family. It was such a sweet time. I made crustless quiche and chocolate croissants. But, the best part of the menu was the blueberry scones we got from Hebrews Coffee. I have never tasted better scones! Anyway, it was a special time and an easy kind of shower both for the host and the guests – no shopping or wrapping or games! Yeehaw!
